Ken + Melissa’s Big Day at an Old Farm.

What can I say about this day other than “holy freakin perfect”? Ken and Melissa approached me a while back about shooting their wedding and I honestly can’t tell you how excited I was. Kenny sings for one of my favorite bands and Melissa is a damn good teacher and together they make one hell of a couple. They threw a brunch wedding at Bittersweet Farms in Westport, MA that is one that no one in attendance will ever forget. Beautiful weather, a beautiful venue, a killer dance party, tons of beautiful DIY details including a crossword puzzle, honey jars, so much more and all followed up by a bonfire at the beach in RI. This day was totally unbeatable. Kenny and Melissa, thank you for letting me be a part of your wedding. And thank you to Lowell for coming along and helping out.

Larry + Maureen tie the knot at the Scituate Lighthouse

Larry and Maureen threw an awesome and intimate Hawaiian-shirt themed wedding just south of Boston with a morning ceremony at the Scituate Lighthouse followed by fun filled BBQ reception in Kingston. I was very glad to be there to capture their awesome day.

Heather + Philip’s Downtown Wedding

Heather and Philip tied the knot in the beautiful King’s Chapel and the partied the night away at the State Room, and even with a rainy day, spirits where extremely high. Everyone was stoked to be around this awesome couple and celebrate their love. You could feel it in the air and Chuck Wansley and his awesome band kept everyone dancing all night. Thanks to my awesome assistant Lowell Meyer for helping out, I’m very bummed he’s moving out to LA in September. Also Carrie Scott from Longwood Events was a kick-ass planner, I can’t thank her enough.

Cliff + Kelly’s DIY Long Island Wedding

Cliff and Kelly contacted me about shooting their wedding and when I found out it was at Cliff’s family’s old mansion in East Northport I was immediately stoked out of my mind. These are two of the coolest people you can meet. Even on their wedding day they both were totally at ease, everyone could tell they were just so in love and so happy to be together and be with their loved ones and ready to become “travel partners for life”. While getting ready Kelly turned to be and I promised her I’d make her look good, her response was, ” Don’t make us look good, capture it the way it was” which I think is a beautiful thing to say. The reception was filled with tons of beautiful details from handmade signs, lanterns, glass bottled soda, pinwheel bouquets, 2 different bands and so much more. Big thanks to Joe Perri for assisting on this one!

Q: What do you do when your best friend gets engaged?

A: Fly down to Orlando, Florida as soon as possible and take some totally badical photos of him and his fiancee.

So here are some of the images Hilary, Corey, and I created after spending the day shooting, cracking jokes, and sweating our butts off, starting off at Congo River Mini Golf, and then heading over to finish the day at Lake Sybelia. I can’t even begin to tell you how happy I am for these two. Corey has been my best friend for 7 years and 2 matching tattoos and I am so stoked that he has met someone so perfect for him. Hilary is great and she has become a close friend of mine in the past months (seems like forever). Can’t even describe my excitement for their big day next year. And a big thank you to Joe Perri for helping out on this shoot.

Sarah + Ben visit Boston for their Engagement Session

Sarah and Ben are not tying the knot till 2011 , but I was stoked when they decided to make the drive over from New Jersey to spend an entire day with me hanging out and shooting. We started off by grabbing lunch at The Union Oyster House and then heading over to grab some shots in the North End. After heading back to the hotel to take some shots with the props that they decided to bring along. It was getting close to time for them to head to their dinner reservation so we took a few shots in the common before parting ways. If it isn’t very obvious in these photos, the three of us spent the entire day cracking up. I think each of us cried from laughing at least a couple times. I can’t wait to shoot their big day, so glad I get to be a part of it.

Pete + Tyler’s Engagement Session in The Fens!

Pete & Tyler are pretty darn cute. We decided to shoot in the Fens because I like to shoot in a place that is special to the couple, and it just so happens that these two met while attending Mass Art. We talked about how they met, and their adventures together including a trip to Africa where Pete had to intimidate an ape from getting into their camp. I can’t wait to shoot their wedding this summer.

Dori’s Visit to the Franklin Park Zoo

Caitlin & Dave called me up a couple weeks ago and asked me if I wanted to come with them them to pay a visit to the Franklin Park Zoo. A few days later they picked me up and we went and I brought my camera along to take some shots of the little girl Caitlin Nannies, Dori. We had a great time and it was good to see them both. Dave had some neat stories since he had just gotten home from Japan.

So I rolled over to The Handsome Mansion to check out the bands, and hell it turned into a really crazy basement show. I was only able to shoot 2 of the bands due to the amount of people there and the lighting conditions, but I did take some video that I’ll post as soon as I can. Pull Through reunited for the first time since they broke up last year and BearTrap put on an awesome show before they head to Central America.

Roadtrip!

Hey everyone! So instead of just posting my travel dates I thought it would be fun to make a calendar to represent my trip visually. I am available for shoots while I am in South Florida, NYC, and potentially in between ATL and NYC. I am excited for this trip, this is definitely the longest drive I have ever done, and it’ll be awesome to have my good friend Joe Perri with me. If I am going to be in your city and you want to hang out or shoot, let me know. Also, if you want to keep up with me make sure to add me on Twitter, cause I’m sure I’ll be updating fairly constantly while on the road.
