These are two very special kids and I had such a blast photographing them. They are lucky to have such an amazing family, and a mother who is just one of the best people one could ever meet.  This was my 3rd time photographing Cami and my first time even meeting little Julian, Cami just turned 4 and she is growing up into such an awesome kid.

Yesterday New England graced us with some truly beautiful weather  (seriously, 50 degrees in mid-February, are you kidding?) and we had our first big party at the Grillo’s Pickles Pop-Up Shop in Inman Square. This is a new venture that has been in the works for quite some time now. I have spoken to many people about this, had some amazing help from friends (major shout outs to Regan, Dennis, Brian, Keri and so many more). The Danger Booth is the new guy on the “photo booth” scene. But The Danger Booth stands for something. Firmly taking a stand against waste by opting for USB thumbdrives over DVD’s, reusable backgrounds over paper, and choosing an online gallery over immediate prints that far too often end up in the trash. I decided to start this business because I think it will be a great addition to not just my weddings, but all weddings. No longer will you need to have the boring table shot of 10 guests awkwardly standing around a bunch of dirty plates, with The Danger Booth you are guaranteed to get a professional quality photo of everyone at the event with just the click of the button. And it is not just about having photos of everyone, The Danger Booth is operated by remotes, so it is the guests that are taking the photos. So who knows what comes out when you realize the endless possibilites that you have when in front of the lens, sweetness and silliness are all fair game.


I will be running a special for people who book The Danger Booth during the month of Feb for their 2012 event (more details of that on the site), but there will always be a special pricing (and a place in my heart) for my couples who add The Danger Booth to their wedding.


Last but not least I have teamed up with my good friend Travis Grillo and I will be holding an open house at the Grillo’s Brick and Mortar in Inman Square, I hope everyone comes by and checks out the booth and takes a few photos. I happened to be in NYC on the last day that Jesse Thorn + his crew were filming the NYC segment for season 2 of their menswear webseries Put This On.  I tagged along while they interviewed menswear designer Sean Crowley, Polo collector Dallas Penn, and we also filmed the intro to Season 2 episode 1.

I highly recommend anyone who hasn’t seen Season 1 or the rest of their blog I highly recommend it. I fully believe in taking pride in dressing well and encourage other guys to do so as well. Their videos are very well done and it was such a blast to work with Jesse, Andrew, Ben, and the rest of the crew.

Hope everyone is having a happy new year, I’ve been busy as all hell booking weddings for 2012/2013 as well as working on albums for my 2011 couples. Tonight I took the night off and went over to Central Square to ImprovBoston, because the Chris Gethard show was in town. I am a huge fan of Chris and if you didn’t already know, his new book just came out a photo of mine on the cover. So pick that up. Here is the shot from the book since it never made it to this blog and some more shots from the show. For an introduction to Chris and his show I’d say check out his appearance on our friend Jesse Thorn’s Bullseye or this 10 minute video. I can’t wait to work with Chris and the cast of TCGS more in the future. His show is truly one of the greatest and most unique things happening in comedy right now.

Dylan + Keri have become two of my closest friends since we first met almost a year ago. We literally live a block away from each other, so I end up hanging out with them and their dog Maggie at least 2-3 times a week. When Dylan popped the question to Keri I was so excited for the two of them, they are so amazing together and they even have an amazing story of how they met (which Dylan told on THIS podcast, seriously listen to it, you’ll cry, I did). I could really ramble on and on about how awesome these two are, how important they have become to me in the past year, and how awesome they are together, but I’d really just rather let the photos speak for themselves. So wish them the best, I seriously can not wait to capture their wedding in 2012.

Jordan + Jesse have been two of my favorites in podcasting for a while now, I am really glad I was able to get the chance to photograph them at Jesse’s home while I was in LA. The two of them were just so genuinely kind that these portraits were a breeze.  My only regret is not waiting around to meet Maria Thayer so I could ask her about being in an episode of Nip/Tuck.

I have known Sam since Triple B’s inception since we are both have Florida roots. (Heck I even owned the Gak Attack 7″.) It is great to see how much the label has grown and really become a driving force in the hardcore scene. Here are a few shots from the showcase which was yesterday at Anchor’s Up in Haverhill, MA.
