Clancey and Andrew are an adorably smart and well dressed couple soon abandoning their New England home for the sunny West Coast, I am glad we got to celebrate their Boston home by basking in the sun around Beacon hill and the Esplanade.

This is day one of Jacqui and Sam’s game changing two day affair. I am so happy I finally got the chance to photograph a Cambodian wedding. It took place in their home and involved four separate ceremonies, each one involving a new outfit for Jacqui, Sam, and the whole bridal party. Each ceremony and outfit was truly amazing and totally different from the last. I am so glad I got the chance to photograph such a beautifully unique wedding that perfectly matched this couple. Even though it was full of traditions including a hair cutting ceremony, monks, knot tying, and seed throwing. They still had fun with it and it was very much them. Sometimes the rain date ends up being perfect weather. And then Shaina and John show up after a day at work and just totally knock it out of the park. Can’t wait to shoot their wedding at Castle in the Clouds, it is just around the corner!

Engagement session season is upon us and wedding season is creeping around the corner. Jacqui and Sam and I met up for their engagement session along Memorial Drive in Cambridge because guess what? Their wedding is THIS WEEKEND! And I am super stoked for it, not just my first 2 day wedding, but also my first Cambodian Buddhist wedding and I am so glad I get to experience it with such a fantastic couple.

Ben and Julia will be getting married at the Alden Castle in Brookline this October, so why not celebrate their love in the town where they will tie the knot. Had a great time with these two and I am stoked to share these images with you guys!

Lauren and Josh are a couple I can really relate to. They have spent their whole time together separated by a cruel mistress we call distance. I know that feeling all too well since my counter-part Becca has been living in Florida since we started dating a year ago. They will soon be married, and even sooner Lauren will be graduating from Harvard Law and also they will be living together in DC where Josh lives now. We had a blast roaming around Harvard’s campus (and I briefly got to meet Lauren’s little pup Tiffany) and I can’t wait for their wedding. After spending the afternoon with them I know it is going to be no less than perfect.

We we think of weddings from the past, we see them as a collection of special moments frozen in time. You might remember flipping through your parents wedding and being astounded by how young your grandparents look or giggling about the then-trendy style of your mom’s wedding dress. A photo album is the only tangible memory of your wedding you can carry with you for the rest of your life and clearly remember every moment exactly as it was.

Because of distance or timing, I don’t always get a chance to show off the beautiful albums that I can provide for my couples. Instead, I’d like to share them here so both current and future couples can consider them as an important part of your wedding experience. Who knows, maybe years from now you’ll be sitting down with your kids and giggling at your own wedding dress! Either way, with an album you’ll be flipping through your cherished memories and remembering just how perfect that day truly was.

So this week has been crazy. After my last post it got crazier with the whole world focused on an area less than a mile from my home. But it is done. And we are back to life. And I wanted to get the blog back and going as soon as possible because hopefully it will bring some extra smiles to some faces after everything this week. Katie and Max celebrated their love at Willowdale Estate in Topsfield, MA. Two of the kindest people I have truly ever met. The whole day all they cared about was how everyone else was doing and if everyone else was having a good time. They remembered that I told them I never get to eat the cake…so after they cut the cake, I got hand fed a piece of their cake. Everyone had a blast and enjoyed one of the most beautiful days we have had yet in 2013.

There is no doubt that Monday’s tragedy affected this city and the lives of everyone who calls it home, has visited, or cares about someone who lives here. Only three days later it still feels like a whirlwind of ups and downs. Staying glued to the news was killing me inside so instead of talking about Monday, let’s talk about Boston.

After high school, I moved here from Florida not knowing a single person. Six years later I have made this place my home and I truly could not be happier here. I love this city and I love the friends I have made here. I just wanted to share some of the love that I’ve been lucky enough to capture here over the years and remind those who are thinking of Boston that this city really is an incredible place.
